The Indian Civil Service forms the backbone of the Indian Government machinery. The Civil Services exam and Forest service exams are conducted by UPSC every year.

* Qualifying paper

* Paper II was of qualifying nature with 33% mark i.e. minimum of 66 marks.

** Paper A & B was of qualifying nature with 25% mark i.e. minimum of 75 marks.

Prelims Paper I & II carry a negative mark of 1/3 * mark allotted to a question.
